April 8th...

How weird is this...I just realized that I was married the first time on this day in 1983....damn, forever ago! Shit, I was just a baby having a baby! Not like I'dve ever admitted it at the time, of course. The biggest thing about this is that I was a senior in high school, and after this, if I didn't want to go to school, I could just call the office myself, Mom didn't have to give 'permission' anymore! lol!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay...now it's Friday....I have surgery Monday to remove my thyroid...yippee?? And, I need to get my stuff packed...Tif & Kev are going to take turns coming here & feeding Truman, giving him his ice water, and cleaning his litter box. (yes, I did say 'his ice water'...I don't want my baby to have to drink stale water!) I called Blue Cross/Blue Shield yesterday just to make sure my Cobra coverage is started, it is. I was just being paranoid, cuz I could just see me laying on the surgery table, and them stopping..."Wait. Does she have insurance??" *snicker* This health care bill is already tossing people every which way. The guy I talked to at Blue Cross yesterday said he's already had a ton of people call him already and ask him "Are you the one I call to get my free Obama-care??" And he had to tell them no...Those people obviously don't know that they're already paying for it...& they'll be paying for it for a few years before they get it! Yes, there are good things in this...but I promise, if you read the bill, you'll find much more bad...
Easter was fun! Tif & Mr Tif brought the baby over right after church that morning, & Bro & his wife took me out Saturday to the Dollar Store...I got Talan a cute little shirt that has a picture of an i-pod on it & says "I peed" Bro came back over & picked me up at 4 to go out to his house for Easter dinner...his youngest daughter called from where she's living (Phoenix) she's in college at Arizona, and she said "Dad! I just felt an eartquake!!!" Crazy, huh?
Oh man, how interesting about the wedding. Good luck with all you have to do this week!
Good luck on the surgery and I hope it all goes well!
Bush gave us the war, Obama gave us health care, every president has a legacy. All of it costs lots of money. That's just how it goes and there's nothing anyone can do about it. They all spend no matter what side of the aisle. It just comes down to what do you as a citizen like the money spent on?
meg-nope, no weddings here! just thyroid surgery...
ricardo-you're right, every president has his own 'thing'...i forget sometimes & fall into the trap of thinking that someday, i might like one...lololol...i'd be in a sad state if i ever let politics piss me off...but, i guess this is a bonus i get with my "chrome-plated heart"
Yeah, I felt the earthquake here in Phoenix. I didn't think I'd ever feel that again after leaving California. I even stood up and looked out the window hoping it was a big truck going down the road. You take care Libby-Girl, recovery fast. I will send you loads of healing energy.
