....eeeewwwwwwww.....

This is my little friend....'not'!'
No, actually, I guess he thought he was my friend or something! I woke up at 3 am, and went around the corner to the bathroom. Turned on the light in there, everybody knows when you wake up to pee in the middle of the night, it's kind of a habit, you're on 'automatic pilot', right? So...I'm sitting there getting ready to go, and I glanced over at the edge of the sink/door. I was done so I stood up, and thought there was a clump of hair stuck to the bottom of the sink But...it was this big guy scrunched up in the corner! God help me!! :-D
No, I actually had my right hand stretched out to grab the 'big clump of hair' (we're not dirty people, ya know, but Tif wears hair extensions and stuff, and I'm always "shedding"), cuz she had been in there getting ready to go out tonight, and it's pretty much the color of either one of us's hair. Thank you, God, I looked at it closer before I grabbed it!! All you could see was the legs...the body was scrunched up. I didn't scream, I just let out a "eeeewwwwww!!", and looked around for a bunch of paper towels or something, so I could grab it & squish & flush it, but of course all there is in there is t.p....I WAS NOT using that! Cuz if I did, I'd feel it scrunch! So, I looked around, and saw a hardcover book I was reading...picked that up, and just squished the book spine against it...then...I guess I just must've hit it in the head, and it dropped slowly to the carpet. Went under the sink thingy...I bent down and looked...it's freakin' gone!! So...I doubt if I'll be going to the bathroom without lifting the toilet seat and making sure there's no company under it! Arachnophobia, anyone? Well, I know it's not a spider, but, somehow, it's way worse!! I guess it's because of the legs...and that picture at the top is EXACTLY what it was, except mine's bigger! So, Tif was out tonight. That's a very good thing...because if she'dve seen it first...well...everybody on the block would've heard the screams & called the police!
So...I'm gonna go back to bed, and I'll probably just read for the next few hours...keep in mind...my bed is probly ohhh, say, 15 feet away from where "Herbie" was (I may as well give him a name...he's gonna be a longer-term guest than I originally thought!).

Saturday

Ya know, I've looked & looked for this stupid key on my computer, and I just don't seem to have it..

And once I got the whole joke about the duck, well, let's just say my sides hurt like hell!

I've been actually doing nothing today, cuz I have the worst cold in the world (okay, I may be exaggerating a little)..it IS really annoying, though!

So I was awake most of the night, reading, watching tv...aren't those informercials fascinating? I was channel-surfing at 5 this morning, and found one of my favorite movies just starting..."Weekend At Bernie's"! I know everybody thinks it's a stupid movie, but ,damn, I was dyin' laughing at it!! I've seen it before, but it's kinda like "The Shawshank Redemption"...if you flip around and see that it's on, you're not moving for a couple hours!

And I've been wandering around the house, (blowing my nose all the time!), reading, napping, and then guess what...I flipped the channel again, and "Joe Dirt" was on!! I love that one too, actually think we have it somewhere...and now here I sit, writing in my blog..."Dumb & Dumber" is on now...my Saturday is planned out!!

The infomercial I was talking about was that 'super-duper colon cleanser', or whatever it is....that is SO damn gross!!

Okay...now there's a good-sounding movie on the sci-fi channel, 'Snakehead Lake', or something like that. It's about those fish that were able to 'walk' on land. You know, that might be plagiarism...I wrote a story about that right when they found 'em, but I have no idea how they would've gotten it!

Nope, it's not mine...it's too stupid...

Okay...gotta go...now I'm bored & cranky...(and still have a cold)...

wednesday

Now, I think I want this for my Halloween costume this year...

Are you sure this isn't 'Are You Smarter Than A Fifth-Grader? Oh...my mistake...it's 'Are You Smarter Than a Guppy?'

Cool! I'm gonna start planting stuff in the backyard soon...I knew the internet would be the best place to get ideas!!

No, seriously, I'd love to plant shrubs here and there in the yard...but we don't have a dog to water them...heh. But this year I'll be doing something I've never done before...planting anything that doesn't die as soon as the sun touches it! Cuz I've only planted impatiens in the front yard...they thrive in shade, and that's all there is in the front! I always loved making my own hanging baskets....I always put a whole flat in each basket, and you couldn't buy one that looked that good.
I have a question that's bugging me..can ya help me? Okay, and this is pretty much directed to anybody that's 40 or older. For the last 10-15 years, it's all been "it's all about the children!"...when WE were 'the children', it was "Don't talk back!" or "respect your elders", or "Children should be seen and not heard"...now it's getting to where even dogs are welcomed at motels, restaurants, swimming pools, malls...WTF??? Our generation missed out on EVERYTHING!! Think about it...when's it gonna be OUR TURN?? Maybe we need a revolution!!

Did anyone here have a pony or a horse when they were growing up? Yeah, yeah, I knew you would *spoiled little brat*....sorry, that's just the snotty 'city kid' attitude...
Anyway, yeah, all my friends and me wanted ponies when we were kids...until we got older and realized how much work they were, and that even if we HAD the room, our moms & dads wouldn't do the work for us...damn...
But, my cousin Boo had the best deal of all...she & her mom & dad lived on the road over from my Grandma's house, but they just had a house in the woods, no farm. But of course, there's always room for one more in the 'manger', so....guess who got a pony? Boo, of course! But we were all little kids then, so nobody got the pony out except UncleX.
One Sunday, on one of our weekly visits, UncleX got the pony out of the barn for Boo & me to ride. Oh, we were so excited! We all took the pony to one of the fields across the road, and Boo & I took turns riding from the ditch back to the patch of woods behind the field and back. By the way, the pony's name was Molly, and I can't believe I remember that, cuz I was only about 7! Boo took Molly back to the woods and back, gave me the reins, and I went. That went on for awhile til Grandma yelled "dinnertime!".We were standing there looking up at UncleX, and he said "anyone want one last ride? I said no cuz I was FAR too hungry to waste time with this! Boo said yes, being the expert horsewoman that SHE was! Okay, she gets on Molly, and they start at a steady pace back to the woods. All of a sudden, the pace quickens, to a trot, UncleX knew that the next step would've been a gallop , so he takes off running after Boo...but he didn't get to them in time, and Molly ran for the trees, and under a low-hanging branch, and she just scraped Boo off!! Damn, that was funny! I STILL hear how that was supposed to be my turn, but I gave it up to her, and Molly must've thought it was ME on her back, not Boo!! But I can't help it, I was starving!! :-D I do know she sat on a cushion at dinner...

my random ramblings...

This cake is wrong, just wrong, I tellya!!

I cannot believe this tattoo! I actually WAS gonna get this one a few years ago! Not on my head, I'm not bald or anything...but on my 'bikini line'!! OMG, now I really wish I would've!!

Okay, I have to touch on this, no matter what!

"If you create a gun-free zone, you're liable for any harm it causes."

I don't own a gun (YET!), but I SO agree with this! Does anybody truly think that a criminal wouldn't be able to get a gun somewhere if they really wanted one? Or that they would say, "Oh, shit! I mustn't have a gun here! This is a gun-free zone! I might get in trouble!" Oh, puh-leez...do you realize that if one professor would've had a gun, many, many lives would've been saved at VA Tech? Sorry to bring that up again, but, did the fact that it was a 'gun-free zone' make Cho unable to shoot two people, go to the post office, and mail a package to NBC, and then return to campus and mow down 30 innocent students? Exactly WHAT good did it do for it to be a 'gun-free zone'? To me, all that does is PROVE that gun-free zones obviously do not friggin' work!! I'm not absolutely sure, but I think that all the mass shootings in America have taken place in gun-free zones. Hmmm...does that make anyone feel safer now? Sleep tight, now...

Okay, got my personal rant outta the way for now.Now I hafta talk about some other stupid stuff that Boo & I did at Grandma's house, and at her mom's house when I stayed overnight there.

At Grandma's house, there was a 'cellar'...not a basement, but it was always referred to as a cellar. It had steps down to it, not only inside, but also from the outside. The outside steps were covered by a big heavy pull-up door, kinda like you see in the Wizard Of Oz movie, you know, you always 'Get in the cellar!' if there's a tornado coming! Anyway, sometime, that solid wood door was removed, and it had been replaced by a green fiberglass panel. I don't know whatever happened to the big door...but, regardless, life would've certainly been easier for Boo & me if it had still been in place! We were out back playing hide-and-seek everywhere, and hiding under the willow tree and all. Then we let the dog off her chain out by the barn, her name was Jet, and she was a GREAT dog. She came out back with us and was chasing us all around and, for some dumb 7-year old's reason, we chased each other up the fiberglass cellar stairs cover...all of a sudden we hear a big ol' 'crack', and ended up through the door up to our knees. Holy crap, can you even imagine how scared we were? Not of falling in the cellar, but of Grandma, Mom, Mom's sister, Aunt V, and Boo's dad (Mom's brother)! So we ran and hid under the willow tree and tried to get a story made up that was plausible. ....Oh, it was Jet!!! Yeah, she was the one that did it!!! Of course, you all have to know exactly how much that was believed...oh, we were in SO much trouble! So, what else did we think of to do there? Well, we had the brilliant idea to soap Grandma's windows (ok, we were bored!). How might we have done that, you ask? Well, everybody was sitting in at the dining room table talking (gossiping), and we snuck up the stairs inside with some soap clutched in our grimy little hands...and soaped the stinking windows on the inside!! How freakin' stupid could 2 little 8 or 9 year old girls BE?? Hmmm...and I'm supposed to be "smart"?

I think it's Wednesday...

That has GOT to be the cutest cat I ever saw!! I WANT it!! Thanks for the picture, jimmyb!!
Hey, everybody, I've got a silly question. Has anyone else ever heard of a guy being referred to as a "man-whore"? Cuz that's got to be one of the funniest things I've EVER heard anyone get called! I used that term today to Bro when he called, and my fine, upstanding, former 'hippie' big brother asked, "Hmmm...you wouldn't happen to have any idea what that pays, wouldja?" WTF?? I was like, "Your name is on the front of a companys building! Why would YOU care??" Oh, yeah, and I'd also break my neck to rat him out to his wife!! HAHA!
And Joe called this afternoon after school (he's a teacher, & he loves it!), and we got onto the subject of what it would be like to be a kid now. After we got over all the serious stuff going on, I shut up for a second, then said, "Hey, Kev's sister is a 'lunch lady' now. She's been working at the city schools for awhile. Lunches at schools are a lot different now aren't they?"
They really are, in case anyone didn't know! Almost all the stuff comes 'prepackaged' now! Like, hot dogs come cellophane-wrapped in a bun, stuff like that, so there's no "contamination", or something! Oh for heaven's sake! Remember what it used to be like? A line-up of ladies with gray hair under nets behind a shiny counter, with trays & plates waiting for us to get, and we'd grab a tray & a plate, & silverware, and go down the line. You'd stop in front of each one, and they'd slop a big spoonful of baked beans or spinach on your plate, then yell, 'Next!' (well, ok, that might be a little exaggeration, but not MUCH!). And the teachers on lunch duty would walk around saying hi, and sometimes saying, "Eat another couple of bites of your spinach, and then you can go outside." Wow...remember that? And, believe it or not...here I am, living in the house we bought 17 yrs ago...half a block away from my K-5 grade school!!
Okay...now I'm sad...just cuz I'm old!!

This really needs no explanation for anyone who's raised a kid, right?

And this would be why you don't stick your hands in the cages at the zoo, kids!!

This also needs no explanation, does it?

Please, all, pray for all students and families of people who were at Virginia Tech that were affected today...

Bad enough that 4/20 is the 8th anniversary of the Columbine shootings in Littleton, Colorado. Schools used to be the safest places to be...I think that's all I need to say about it...

Really, I did have some funny shit to write about today, but, I think that's gone for now.

Saturay the 14th...

Is anybody too busy to get to Ohio, posthaste, and take care of a little problem I have? This reminds me of the 'Arachnophobia' movie!

And this is a unique way to pierce your tongue, isn't it? If your kid ever says "Mom, I want my tongue pierced", well, you can show them this picture and say, "Well, this is how they do it nowadays! But I'll take you...get your shoes on. Problem solved...

I'm very happy today, (why? I'm up early...for me, anyway!). But I'm already yawning, which means I might be headed back to bed soon. Well, maybe not. I just opened yesterday's mail and have a prescription for ritalin in it, which actually does help me stay awake. Isn't it weird that it calms little kids down, and as you get older, it has the opposite effect? I've heard that caffeine has a 'sleepy' effect on babies too. Not so for kids...
So, I did E's assignment about Dad's history of his family...and, even though it would've been fun, I did NOT put in anything about Dracula or Vlad the Impler being a distant relative that Grandpa & Grandma immigrated to America to hide from! I may make up a story that incorporates that, though...what would be a more 'anonymous' place to hide out than Martin's Ferry, Ohio, huh? Anyway, I called E at college to tell her it was ready and printed out, and she 'bout shit! She HATES to write, said this would've taken her weeks to do...I told her it took me an hour yesterday morning...
Actually, do you know that you can usually find just about any family history (birth certificates, death certificates, marriages) on the Utah Mormon site? Mom told me that yesterday (how does she know? she doesn't even use computers?). I said, but we're not Mormons, and she said it doesn''t matter, it's about the biggest records holder in the U.S.! Of everybody, not just Mormons! I didn't have to use it, luckily, Dad and I had talked quite a bit for the last year, and Mom filled in what I didn't already know. Dad was born in Martin's Ferry in 1917! Nope, no epidurals then!
I was remembering some of the trouble that my cousin, Boo, & I used to get into at Grandma & Grandpas's farm (Mom's family, up close to Tiffin). We always walked all over the place (100+ acres), and explored everything! There was a huge tree that had fallen down years ago, over a part of the 'crick', and in the summer, it stunk really bad cuz of the water rot and all..so we called it 'Sewer Road'. Seriously! We'd take off outside..."Let's go to Sewer Road", and we'd walk the length of the tree on top of it, so if you fell, you'd either go in the water (eeeewwww), or worse, you'd probly fall in a patch of nettles! Then we'd end up bawling and running to the house "Grandma, Grandma!!", and she'd get out the rubbing alcohol and put it on our legs...then we'd cry more, cuz she wasn't being all gentle and patting it, but she'd tell us that was the only way to treat nettle 'bites', you can't "baby" them! And you know what? She was right! Oh, wait, it wasn't alcohol, it was Campho-Phenique!!
Then once, when we were bored with sewer road, we went out to the field in front of the house, and were walking and talking. All of a sudden , Boo yells "Snake!". I was behind her, couldn't see it, thank goodness (I was a city kid, remember, whereas Boo grew up right down the road from Grandma..she was used to this!).So, what does she do? She jumped over the snake, and scared it (scared IT? HAH!), so, of course, it turned around and started slithering through the weeds towards me!! Yell? Me?? Try SCREAM!! Oh well, more about Boo & me later...

Thursday, April 12, 2007

hey, i guess it must be thursday already...

Hey! How come my mom never told me there was an alternate Sesame Street? All I got was "Rubber Ducky, you're so fine...and I'm lucky that you're mine..."

Have you seen this man??

I don't have much to say today, haven't been doing much, I think it's the stupid cold weather....what's going to happen to all the baby bunnies that were just born? Are we supposed to dig 'em out of the snow and eat 'em??
Talked to Bro today, we have interesting conversations. They always have to be pretty short, cuz he's always on his cell phone, in his truck, and he always has to go, cuz he's on his way in to a meeting! Which it seems like he has about 3 or 4 a day! He's probly so busy cuz he only does businesses...he said he wasn't real fond of doing people's houses...but only because people were so 'persnickety'! Or changed their minds halfway into it. I can just imagine...I'd be horrible...if it wasn't my big brother, who used to use me for karate practice when I was about 8! Then he'd tell me his back hurt, would I walk on it? Of course I did...now THAT was fun!!
We all were talking at Easter about how tough it must've been for Mom to raise 2 boys that were 2 years apart in the 50's. And about how when she still only had Psycho, and before Bro was born, Dad had some work down in Argentina, so Mom & Psycho were with him there...but they weren't there for a long time. Then Bro said that 2 boys 2 years apart was nuthin until she had me 11 years later, in '64, and found out what real trouble was! I do know that Mom laughed and said yeah, one of the first clues to that was when they were trying to sell their house in Dearborn, MI, and the realtor called & said she had a couple who wanted to see it, would it be ok to come now? Mom thought it was the perfect time, she'd just gotten done cleaning, etc, the boys were at school, I was home, but I was such a cute, good little girl (almost a year old)...I would be nothing but a plus! (no, you jerks! they weren't selling me with the house!). So, she got me a bunch of toys & books & settled me in my playpen in the living room, and fixed me a bottle, cuz it was lunchtime. She always used those "new" Playtex nursers, with the bag inside it and all, ya know? (women know....guys dont). So the doorbell rings, Mom's all looking around to make sure everything's perfect...then she sees me pull the plastic nipple off my bottle and dump the whole bottleful of milk on the carpet!! ...No wonder that when Mom filled out Tif's "Grandma's Memories" book, my part said "Your Mom was my only daughter, and she always had such an indomitable spirit" Hmmm....

Tuesday April 10, 2007 (?) i think??

Nope, not me...it might be someone out there, though!! But it sure is funny!!

Is this how anybody else but me would've LOVED to have answered this question on a test in school??

God, this guy is HOT, isn't he? He just needs more eyebrows...(I LOVE eyebrows!)...

Okay, I'm listening to normal music again...for now, anyway...I'm hooked on Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits!I I'd actually forgotten how much I like them! Yeah, I know Kid Rock's gonna be back on here soon, but...or Fiona Apple "Criminal"..love that song too!! And, yes, there's always "Bad Company", and Janis Joplin, Joe Walsh, all them...

I kinda figured out part of why I felt just "wrong" this weekend. When I was married to the much older guy in high school, it was April 8, 1983! I always try to tell Tif, "Of course you were there at that! (doesnt matter if she could see it or not!)! I KNEW she was!
Listening to the Fleetwood Mac cd, I remember before she was born, I had thought of maybe naming Tif "Rhiannon". But when I "met" her, (after 21 hours of labor, mind you!), she LOOKED like a Tiffany!! I couldn't imagine her named anything else! Now I always wonder what would happen if you name a kid a name you picked out before it was born, and, as your baby grows, you realize that it's just the wrong name for them. I gotta wonder if parents EVER feel that way, or is it just me being weird?
I'm probly just being weird today...Tif's giving me my Avonex shot tonight...which she IS good at doing, but....it's still a SHOT, for heaven's sake!!! She is so great for volunteering to do this a long time ago...at leaast it's one I only have to get once a week, and I get it in my arm. If she ever quits, I'll have to give it to myself in the leg...yuk!!
I just wish they'd try to find something for ms that you could just swallow...but they say they're working on it...stomach acid seems to eat everything up!! Except this of course....but, I'm in Ohio...
Does anybody besides me, absolutely LOVE those commercials with the cavemen? I read that they're going to do a pilot tv show with them this fall!! That would be hilarious!!
Okay...I have GOT to get to work on that college assignment for E!

Happy Easter!!

It's been a great Easter for us...Tif & I went out to Bro's house at 4:30, ate, drank, sat around and talked because all 4 of his kids were there, & they are SO funny! (oldest is 30, down to 15).

So, now I have a job to do...but don't tell anyone, okay? I'll trust ya, I'm sure you won't tell anyone, right? The 3rd daughter is in her next to last year of college, and has a class where the assignment is to interview one of her grandparents and tell some stuff about their background, where they came from, etc...
That sounded like nothing but fun to me! E's mom's mom & step-dad were there too, but, E said she'd thought about using them, but they were German, and the school she's in, well...everybody's German! So she told Mom that she wanted to do this about my dad, whose family was from Romania. (yes, Transylvania!), cuz Mom's family was German too! Mom said, "well, you know, I really don't know all that much...". Pardon me? You were married from 1950 to 2006! So...it's now MY assignment!! And, nobody knows my family, nobody will ever see this...my dad's parents could've been captives of Vlad The Impaler, and miraculously escaped! C'mon!! Actually, I kind of tend to blame her reticence on Psycho...I don't know why but she seems like she's kinda in a shell when he's around. But, like the other day, when she was here by herself, she was laughing and talking a lot. That's weird to me...but...whattaya do? Bro & I are both thankful that Psycho's around, because he's always been the closest to her of all of us (including Dad! no you sickos, not like that! hope not anyway! what if he's really my dad? auuuuggghhhh!), and Bro is so busy running the business, driving all over Ohio for appointments, and...of course, I can't drive...but Psycho goes there every night when he comes home from work, has dinner with her, and they sit and talk for awhile. So, yeah, we are thankful for him being here for her. But it was kinda weird tonight, I must admit.Bro's got a really big house, 2 living rooms, hot tub (in the house!)bar, kitchen, bathroom, all this is at one end of it. So, what was kinda weird that was Psycho sat in the room that had the tv on, and he didn't, like, even say hi. All 9 of the rest of us were sitting at the dining room table...he sat in another room and watched GOLF, for heaven's sake!! Peeshaw! He just seems like he gets pissed at everybody else taking Mom's attention away from HIM!! Bro & I've talked about it, and he said that's how Psycho has ALWAYS been...and I gotta believe him, he was there a LOT sooner than me! When I was born Psycho was 13, and Bro was 11. Anyway...
So, we were all still sitting at the table, eating all the desserts, well, I was, anyway...they were just all sitting there, and, well, wouldn't they feel bad if nobody ate 'em? Psycho came in and said something to Mom about he wanted to leave, and Mom said "Can I get a ride home from somebody?"...Bro looked out the window thru the trees in front of his house...then said, "Well, I suppose you could but I hate to think of you out thumbing on this cold dark, windy night....besides, we don't have much traffic down here...". He is SUCH a smartass!!
I bought some flowers to plant this summer last week from a couple little girls for their school...don't worry, they won't be here til May. Yesterday I was sitting here at the computer, im'ng with a friend, and found out some shitty stuff from someone else, and was pissed off & upset...and all of a sudden, someone knocked on the door. I got up & answered it, and it was one of the girls from that day, and she had a bag in one hand, and gave it to me, and said "Happy Easter!" I had her come in & the bag had a homemade huge cinnamon roll, a vanilla candle, and a little angel sculpture in it! Oh my Gawd, I almost started crying! She said, "I just wanted to do something nice for people" And the bag had a paper on it that says 'to nice lady on xxxxxx who bought flowers", with a drawing of 2 bunnies!! Wow! Which now has a place of honor on the wall next to the desk!!

News Flash!!

I TOLD you all this was hilarious!!
Okay...Mom was here all afternoon today, and we had fun, just sitting here, well, bullshitting! That's not a word I'd use around Mom at all, or anything, you understand...well, in our conversation, I did use "the f word", but it was totally in context, and she just nodded & smiled, like moms do. Anyway, I just got off the phone with her (am I calling her too much, do you think? I don't think once a day is too much...she lives alone, for heaven's sake. My kid better...or at least give me a chance to say "You call too much." haha! I honestly doubt there've ever been too many moms that say "my kid calls me too much".
Anyway, Mom was watching 'The Ghost Whisperer' when I called tonight, and in the middle of the conversation, she said "Oh! There's a naked man sitting on that bench!" What??? I thought she meant out in their backyard or something!! How EVER...I said...are your doors locked, & I was gonna tell her to call 911 or something, then she said, "Libby!! I meant on tv, for God's sake!" Geeezz! I was trying to be helpful! But then later she said something about how dark it was getting, and somehow that conversation jumped over to how she had to put new batteries in the flashlight, cuz that was one of the things Dad always used to do. So, you know me.."Why? So you can get a better look at the naked man in the backyard?" heh...
So, while Mom was here, I was showing her my scooter (who is, by the way, named 'Scoots2', after Scoots, who used to be my Geo Metro. I was riding it through the house, going really fast, until Truman walked out in front of me, then the little fleabag actually sat down in front of me!! And looked over at me calmly, and started licking his paws and washing his face!! So, of course, I stopped...I didn't even beep the horn! Then when Tru got his face cleaned off, and got up, he junped up on the couch beside Mom, who promptly grabbed him and pulled him on her lap and said, "Aawwwww, Come to Grandma! I'll save you!" Yeah...next thing I know she'll be boiling him soft-boiled eggs, and serving them to him in an egg cup from London or something...
Meanwhile, Tif ran in through the dining room from outside and went upstairs yelling "Hi Mom...Hi Grandma!!", came down with a bunch of clothes, and said "I'll be home tomorrow night....". Mom looked at me and I just shrugged my shoulders...'23'....what can I say? (why should I say anything? at least she doesn't have kids or is divorced, which most of her friends have had one or both of them...)

Wednesday...

...well, this helmet will do a LOT of good...

Okay, cool...I just got another book today from Amazon that I ordered the other day, and I can't wait to read it! I saw someone talking about it on Fox news, and it sounds like it's gonna be cool! It's called "The Lucifer Effect", and it explains how human nature is inherently evil, I guess...
I don't think I'd be a real good dj, or music mixer, or whatever. One of the playlists I made on the computer has Rob Zombie...followed by Rick Astley...then Chris Daughtry, from American Idol, remember him? I STILL have a huge crush on him! And his cd is GREAT!
So...did everybody hear about the fact that Keith Richards snorted his cremated dad's ashes with some cocaine? sick, sick, sick...
I told Mom about that today, and she laughed so hard, I bet she peed her pants! But a little bit later, she was telling me she wants a 'weeping cherry blossom' tree for the backyard, and I said if she gets one, it should be planted in their yard in memory of Dad...she thought that was a really good idea.
Well, what else, what else...oh, yeah! Nancy Pelosi! I said FOREVER ago on here that I really hoped she'd never get Speaker Of The House....well, guess what...Now she's there, I've seen her bragging on tv that she's the most 'powerful woman in America now'! And exactly what is she doing with that position? Well, right now, she's over in Syria, doing a little "Ass-kissing!" (That'd be a pun, ya know? Bashar al-Assad is the president of Syria, one of the biggest of the state-sponsored terrorism countries). Between her, Hilary Clinton, Rosie O'Donnell, exactly how long will it be before we all hopelessly commit suicide...or murder all of them...hell, who knows? All of us 'normies' (no, I'm not a Bush fan...I want Mitt Romney!) might get together and call the terrorists and just ask them to hurry up, just put us out of our misery!!!). But, everybody, please remember...no matter how much you don't like our president now...Nancy Pelosi is two heartbeats away from taking over...she is third in line now. Okay, 'nuff said...

Oh, now, these are some of the best I've found!!
And, I'm forcing myself not to watch tv today...I'm listening to "happy songs" from the playlist I just made! "The Sign" (remember that? Ace Of Base), "Tubthumpin'" by Chumbawumba, "Sultans of Swing" by Dire Straits...and of course, "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred! I'm probably very annoying today...everyone should be happy they don't live next door...
"Free Your Mind" by En Vogue
"I Want Your Sex" by George Michael...I STILL can't believe he's gay!! That is just SO not fair!!

Well, here I go, doing this on my blog for the first time, and, like I said in the subject line, everyone should play along, it's really fun!! I "cadged" it from Azathoth's blog, cuz it was fun! Thanks, Aza!

a weekend...! (usually, i'm not a big fan of 'em!)

Yeah, I know, the one about toilet paper is just wrong, on SO many levels. But, screw it, y'all laughed, didn't you?
Okay...I'm just having a 'wee-haaa' good time this weekend! Why? Well, Bro called Friday afternoon. The Lynx was delivered to his office Thursday afternoon, and he'd put it together, which took all of, like, 5 minutes! Then he took it home with him, charged the battery up all the way (holds a 7 mile charge), and rode it around a little in his 8 acres of woods. Which kinda had me as little worried...he's a big 'motorcycle guy', you know, rides motocross & stuff, LOVES to ride! I almost expected him to show up with the Lynx all duct-taped, dented, masking taped...hahaha!
But, no, Bro brought it over to my house yesterday around noon (I love it! He understands my schedule!!), and it is an awesome thing to have!! It's PERFECT!! I can drive it all around inside the house, and everything!! Even through that square-type hallway, into the kitchen, to the laundry room, & most importantly...to the refrigerator, microwave, freezer...etc.
Anyway...I've been SO immature this weekend...I'm zooming around the house chasing Truman, beeping the horn at him, in general, just scaring the shit out of him! And I'll tell you what...the top speed is supposed to be 5 mph...I beg to differ! I bet it's much closer to 8 - 10 mph!! All I know is, if I had the will & guts, I could probably do a wheelie, and ride it straight out the window into the front yard!! But I'd never do that (you know me...timid & all that..). So, when Bro was here yesterday, he was measuring for the ramps and all,one in front, one in back. OMG! My attitude has SO changed from what it's been forever! But, I guess it's time to get off my ass & fight again! Like Kevin's always told me, "Walking's overrated, you know?" haah! But I was excited about this & called my cousin, Boo, yesterday too...she agreed with what Kev said, and said "yeah, sweating's overrated too!" Then she said she could just imagine the youtube video I'll have up, showing me jumping off a ski-type ramp into the back yard, with a bunch of neighborhood kids laying in a row (ala Evel Kneivel!)...maybe i'll even do it through flaming hoops or something...
Anyway...I watched the Blue Jackets/Red Wings game today...Tif & date were there, they had seats right behind the Red Wings box (lucky!!), but it was disappointing, I quit watching when it got to be 4 - 0, Wings! Anyway, I know they'll have fun, anyway, they're going to Tif's favorite restaurant after, "Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant" . She told me when they went Thursday night, they had a big plate of pasta, mussels, shrimp, clams, and calamari...which, for us uneducated, is OCTOPUS!!! The picture is at the top...I absolutely love it that she'll try enything like that! I have no clue how she got that, not from me, that's for sure!, but I'm so happy she's like that! Keep in mind, this is the little girl who, at the age of 8 or so, made 'pickle-sickles' in the freezer, you know, pickle juice poured into ice cube trays, covered with saran wrap, then toothpicks in them...a couple hours later, VOILA! instant summer snack!! haha!!
Okay...Ted Nugent's playing..'Free For All'! That music begs for a ride!

Are you smarter than a fiffth-grader?...

Now, be honest...have ANY of you seen this guy??
And I think we passed this cat in Cleveland a couple weeks ago...

....and, OH, wouldn't it be a total miracle if this happened to one of the PETA assholes that thought the baby polar bear would be better off put to sleep than to live in a zoo!!! PETA...oh, puh-leez!

Mom just called, and, hey everyone, guess what? Yup, something weird happened at her house in the last few weeks too! The first thing she did was ask me if I'd called her yesterday. I said no, cuz I usually do every day, but for some reason I didn't. She just said, "Hmmmm". I was, 'why?' She said that the phone rang yesterday afternoon, and when Mom answered, she said hello, and it sounded like me on the phone talking to her about something, and there was a man's voice talking at the same time as mine! But she said she couldn't understand what I (or whoever it was!) was saying, so whoever it was finished what they were saying, and hung up. How freakin' weird is that?? That almost creeps me out a little...Then I was telling her about the totally odd that happened here this morning. It's all warm amd sunny today, mid-60's, and I usually go to bed around 1 or 2 am, then get up around 9 or 10. So, I did that today, then was just sitting in the bedroom reading, when all of a sudden, I hear Tif yell, "MOM!" (yes, she was here!!). I get up and come out to the dining room, and looked out the front door to see what she was talking about. So, on the other side of Tif's car, there are TWO DUCKS sitting there!!! In the front yard!! We live in town, just a regular area, no water or anything around here! We just stood there and stared at them for a few minutes, and back & forth at each other, like, 'are you SEEING this shit?' The ducks were just out there waddling around Tif's car...one of the ducks was a little bit smaller, and all brown, but the other one had a brown body, and a gold-colored stripe around its neck, and a totally magnificent blue head!! It was beautiful!! Unbelievable!! We could see it in total detail and clarity, because, the duck with the blue head kept walking up close to the porch! Tif came inside and got a few slices of bread, and we were able to just sit on the porch and have a nice morning and feed ducks, for heaven's sake!! That is truly freaky, there's no water or anything here, this is just a regular street, speed limit 35 mph, so, obviously, it's not especially quiet or anything! You know, thinking back about springtime, I think I've seen at least one little baby bunny every year in March...but...ducks in the city, waddling around beside a car in the driveway???

So, with all this weird stuff up here, and, of course I'm in the middle of a good scary book, I just started wondering...as old as the earth is, and as many people who've lived and died...would it even be a possibility that there's a square foot of land that doesn't have a body under it? That's a serious question, really, think about it. There's probably about 100 of them reclining under your basement right now!!

Mom & I were talking about some running around she'd done, to the dr's ofc yesterday, and she said that as soon as she walked in his office, the receptionist greeted her with a big ol' "Hi Mrs S! You want to pay something on your bill today?" (Mom's bill is paid down to 75.00, so she's not ALL that worried about it! Dad's insurance is awesome!). I giggled & told her she should have said, "No, not today! Ya wanna kiss my ass??" I told her she could say anything she wants to, and say...'oh...my daughter's been just an awful influence on me lately! Sorry!'

no radio today...tif quit...oh well, it WAS only volunteer work...

Oh, man, does anybody who was EVER a little kid think it wouldn't have been the first thing for them to think of to do???

2 really cute construction guys!
All right...today I have a little bit of strange, maybe ghostly, stuff to get out of my head.
The other night, I was out in the kitchen (of course, snacking at about 2:30 am!...you know, ice cream, pringles, mint choc chip POP-TARTS!!) And the way our house is, there's a little teeny almost square hallway between the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and dining room downstairs here. So, I've got some ice cream or something balanced on my walker coming out of the kitchen. I had been looking down to make sure I wasn't gonna step on any runaway mice, or anything (heehee!), then I looked up to make sure I didn't walk into a wall, I swear I saw a thin guy in jeans & a light blue t-shirt, and brown hair walk real quick from the dining room into the bathroom. And, no, it was NOT Kevin. (he did have a nice ass, though...). But, no, it wasn't ANYBODY, our bathroom doesn't have 2 doors or anything, and it's not big enough for anyone to hide or anything!
The next weird thing that happened was Sunday night, and I was out in the kitchen doing some p.t. exercises (she told me to always do these leg exercises in front of the sink, so if I needed to, I could grab onto it...works good, too!). I started picking some stuff up after that around the kitchen, straightening up...I picked up a card or something laying around, and itdidn't look like anything I'd seen before. I looked at it, and opened it, and it was one of the cards that had been given out at the funeral home at my dad's funeral, with a great poem on it. OMG!! I just stood there and read it, and leaned on the counter and bawled my eyes out! Keep in mind that this is about 2 am, and I was the only person in the house. So I took the card in the bedroom to put it away, so it didn't get lost. Then when I walked in, I didn't turn the light on, I must've kicked the little stuffed animal cat that my mom gave me for Valentine's Day, and it started talking! Hmmmmm.....I just got off the phone from calling Mom & accusing her & Dad of conspiring against me to scare me! Honestly, my Mom has always threatened to come back and haunt me! True!!! She laughed like crazy!
Also, Mom said that her primary doctor, who is also mine told her today that she's an absolute living miracle, cuz of her health doing so well!

Spring is when all the girls start showing off their bellybuttons....

Oh, I am SO sorry for anyone who had a mouthful of food or soda...(you believe me, dontcha?)! Joe's mom blessed me with this picture yesterday, while I had a mouthful of donut...thought I should share the wealth....

Okay, lemme ask everybody something. Because it was all over the news this weekend (which it should have been, I'm not saying it shouldn'tve!), did anybody besides me sit here imagining Al Qaeda members sitting in front of tv's all over the world, taking notes on how easy it was to get to our animals' food supply? All it took there was a little bit of rat poison in the wheat gluten in China, and, well, we'd be dropping like flies. Give us all something NEW to worry about, huh? (Queen of Panic, that's for you!)

Well, the only exciting thing around here this weekend was when Tif went down to the Blue Jackets hockey game yesterday with a date....she loves hockey! Anyway, oh, we won, too, which always helps! Tif actually won the Diamond # 1 Fan yesterday, and they put her picture up on the big screen in the middle of the rink, and she won a $50 Diamond Cellar gift certificate! How COOL is that?? To actually BE one of those girls the cameras are picking out of the crowd cuz they're pretty or something? WOW!

Oh, and Truman got an exciting present delivered Saturday, that I got for him from Amazon. It's a big triangle yellow box with holes in it so it looks like a big wedge of swiss cheese...and it's full of little catnip mice. How many? Mmmmmm...60! But I think I'm having more fun with it than he is! Except I'm the stupid one with thumbs that has to pick them all up!! Think how embarrassing it is to have to tell someone, "Well, I hafta quit instant messaging now, cuz I have to pick all the mice up off the floor." Gawd! How humiliating! All I got for myself from Amazon was a new book...it's as good as I thought it would be so far, though. It's called 'Dry Ice', and, of course, it's a mystery book, with dead people, and all. What's really amazing is how new hardcover books smell, isn't it? Cuz it's actually been about a year or so since I bought a new book!! Cuz I like to get them used from eBay. But it really reminded me of being a little kid again, when Mom used to bring me home a new book from the mall every time she went out there!

Oh, yeah...Mom's health and everything...well, before she flew to Florida to stay with her sister for a week, she'd gotten a PET scan, and it came out all clear! How cool is that? And she only has one working kidney, and has been like that for awhile, but her dr checked that before she left, and he said she's doing fine with the one she has! I KNOW that had to make it a great vacation for her!!

Aw, damn!! Tif & her friend were just here, and I wish SO bad I would've watched & tivo'd the game yesterday, cuz everybody's been calling her at work and saying "I saw you on the Jumbotron on tv at the game yesterday!" And Jared from the Subway commercials was there too at the game! So, I hafta watch & tivo next Sunday, they're gonna be there for the game against the Red Wings (who was our favorite team before the Blue Jackets were here). Okay...gotta go eat...

i can't quit writing!! (in other words, you can't shut me up!)

This picture goes with the end of the post!
Check this out!! It's not just the original ad that was on youtube, it's better!! It's not like me to keep my friggin' mouth shut when something's on my mind, so, pardon me if you don't agree! This is kinda why I'm back...just to rail at everyone, and be a nuisance, and take up unused bandwidth...muuuhaahaaa!

Anyway...I've been through it lately, forward, backwards, upside down, downside up...you name it, I've been there...in my house!! But I'm still here...whatever that's worth. Anyway, Bro called me today at 10:00 am, and I think he was shocked as hell that I was awake!! He asked what I was doing, and I at least was honest, I told him I was laying in bed still, watching the 2 hours of Wall Street shows that's on Fox News every Saturday morning til noon! I think he thinks that's really good, cuz I'm finally doing something that our dad would've liked me doing! So he was asking me about some of the scooters for crippled, no, I mean, handicapped people!! Damn! I still hafta get rid of that mindset! Anyway, he had asked me last week to send him some websites where I liked some of them, so I had. And we went through them while I was lying there (no better way to shop, I gotta say!), So, I said I really liked the Lynx L4 model, at the top on here. So he had the website up on his computer, and we were going through the specs of it and everything, speed, how muuch weight it'll hold (HA! Tif & I can ride it together!...for that matter, so could Kev & I!) and, best of all it has a 4 inch ground clearance! (good for in the grass, for sure!). Then he said, you like blue better than red right? I said yeah, but..."click, click, click" from his end, then he said, "Okay, I'm buying it for you, it'll be delivered to my office, I'm thinking Thursday...when it gets here I'll bring it over, and that way I can be there to take some measurements for the ramp too. Oh my God, I have the BEST big brother in the world!! Holy shit! You know, I think I've been in total denial of this ms crap for the whole 14-15 years I've had it...and now that I finally admit there actually ARE things I can''t do anymore, well, there ARE people in your life that do care. I told Bro, you don't have to do this! And he said, Well, you shouldn't not be able to get around anymore, either! Cry?? Me??? You bet your ass I did!!

okay...i have to take off for a while...don't know how long, just whatever...

"Strange that I was strong enough to even make a start..."
