Is this not the perfect house, or what?? It was halfway down the block from the house I grew up in, and I always totally LOVED it!! I was never actually inside it, but my mom's best friend and her husband owned and lived in the house right next to it,(in the left of the picture) and when I was teeny (like up to age 5 or so), I remember trotting down there holding 'Mommy's' hand (so I didn't get run over or anything, ya know? cuz we lived on the other side of the street) to go see Mrs. Green, for tea & cookies in the mornings, I even remember my favorite teacup I used to drink out of! She had a little gray/black poodle named Gidget. And when we left there, if we didn't have anything important to do, like walk down to the library, or anything, we'd walk through Mrs. Green's backyard, and go to the Isaly Shoppe for lunch and ice cream. And after that, we'd go across that main street to a grocery store, & get the stuff 'Mommy' was gonna make for dinner. And you know...this is like the few blocks I grew up in, especially before I could drive! The very first time I ever "French-kissed" anyone seriously was in the back parking lot of the Isaly Shoppe, around midnight on July 4th when I was 14! Wow. How weird. That was that 'first Kevin' I went out with.
And the grocery store that was across that other street? Well, that's the first one I ever worked at, and met Kev, my husband, at!
OK...I really don't have a clue where my head is at today...
Was thinking about something yesterday...very strange, doesn't involve me or anyone (well, except Psycho...but who counts him?). Thinking about the Oedipus complex, and the guys I know that have it. I only know of 2 guys that have it (Psycho's one!), and both of whom have moms that didn't work outside of the house. Anyone who knows anything about this, can you tell me...is it just a coincidence, or are guys more prone to this if their moms are home instead of working 40 hours a week? And, are girls more prone to the Electra complex now that their dads are closer to their kids now? I have no idea why I'm thinkin' more about psychology now. I guess I really wish I would've gone farther than 1 college class in psychology. 'Course, who knows? They might've committed me if I did...I dunno...okay...time for me to go...

Okay...I know it isn't Tiffany Tuesday yet, but she put the laundromat lotto pictures up this weekend, so, if you feel like laughing, go here. But, make sure you go pee first...I will NOT take any responsibility for your messes!!
Damn, it is SO freakin' cold out today!! Our local city schools were closed today because of the wind chill factor being at 20 below 0! Actually, that was announced that they would be yesterday! That's so not fair! When I was little, the only time they closed school was during the blizzard of 78 or 79!
OK...Gotta go!

Yup...me, this morning...
But...my 'little Tiffany Pooh-Bear' brightens my day every Tuesday morning on the radio...and especially today. I was rolling laughing!!
First they were talking about the new world sport of pillowfighting! They said the competitions started in Canada, and then came here through New York! I'm sure that's gonna be done next week!
Then Tif was bitching about being bored!! The guys asked if she was a competitive type of person, and she said yeah, sure, she played soccer in high school, cross country, was a cheerleader, etc...then they asked, well, if a guy beat you in a race, what would you do? At least she was honest...she said, "Well, I'd run up and dance around him yelling 'WooHoo, I won...he lost!!'" to which all that was heard was groans, and 'No wonder you go through boyfriends!'
Then they decided they had to do "Tiffany Games"...they gave her aa choice of thumb wrestling or leg wrestling...she said thumb wrestling...they said, "Okay! Leg wrestling it is!!" Hmmmm...She actually lost that, but she did acccidentally kick Gary in the face!
Then she and Gary went to a laundromat to do "Laundromat Lotto"! They got there, and Gary dumped 40 ping pong balls, each with a number on it, in a big dryer. Then he boosted Tif into the dryer and made sure it was set on low heat. Then he closed the door and turned the dryer on, and all that anyone heard over the radio was "Aaaahhh! Oooowwwwww! Aaaahhhhhhh! Help me!!" Gary opened the dryer door every five seconds and hzd her hand him a ball with a number on it!! So they got 6 numbers. And I didn't write them down, but I guess they'll be on the website of the radio station, WDCM . Nothing is up there yet from today, but...I can't wait!!

...or..."It's all fun & games until your wiener falls off..."
First of all (well, I guess it would be second, huh?), I have to put a disclaimer on here about how every name of everyone I have EVER used in here is a total fake (yeah...I lied...just like EVERY writer in the world...except maybe the writers of the Bible...and, how would you know if they did? For all you know, "Jesus" might be "Mike"). Well, I am Libby, but you probly could figure that out...who would EVER choose that name for themselves?
So, I just thought I oughtta do that, you know "names have been changed...to protect the guilty". That's from an AC/DC song, but I'm not sure which. Oh wait! It was 'Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap'! Or, like my friend's little sister used to sing "Dirty Jeans, Dungarees!". She always thought she had it right, so far be it from us to break her heart!
Anyway, all of Ohio is SO TOTALLY humiliated about the national championship game last night, so don't even try to pretty it up by blaming it on bad calls, injuries, etc...someone called the radio station this morning and said, "But they won all their other games...look at the bright side!" If I'dve answered the phone, I would've given her a resounding (and wet!) 'phhhhttt'! I don't wanna talk about it any more...
Okay...today was Tiffany Tuesday again, & it was good! I actually got to disagree with my daughter on the air! Woo hoo! heehee! They were going over Tif's 'celebrity news flash & trash', and she mentioned Kid Rock wanting to kick Tommy Lee's ass on New Year's, then she was saying that Tommy Lee was better looking than Kid Rock...and that was all it took! I called in and told Gary? Sean? I dunno...whoever answered...that I HAD to disagree with my daughter...Kid Rock is WAY better looking! Look at him in 'Joe Dirt'....at least HE knew how to be clean & take a shower!! And then they patched the call through so I was on the air too, and we got to argue with each other on the air. Then Gary mentioned how we must get along like oil & water at home. I told Tif 'well, you're not allowed to date anyone that looks like Tommy Lee' , which Tif came back with 'Mom...I'm 23!' I said 'Fine! Just don't bring him home for dinner or anything!' Mind you...this whole exchange was broadcast live to the city. So, here I am, 42 years old, arguing with my daughter live on air about whether Kid Rock is better looking than Tommy Lee...then she whips out her 'coup de gras' "Yeah, but YOU thought Bucky was cute on American Idol! So what?? He IS/WAS! And so it goes...
Anyway...that's pretty much what's up here. I'm a few days behind in reading 'The Purpose-Driven Life'...just because, well, life really sucks for me now. Yeah, I know..."Libby, then this is the time you need to read it!"...but, I'm reading my old Stephen King books...the REALLY old ones, that have been in the bookcase just looking nice for a long time...and I DO mean a looooooong time! So far, I've read 'Bag of Bones', 'Cell', 'Hearts in Atlantis' (that's a good book!), 'Black House', and now I'm on 'Dreamcatcher'. I've had all these books for years, but some of them I never finished, and, reading them now, I'm thinking WTF?? Why in the world didn't I??? And I do have a Christmas present movie I hafta watch. Which one? Oh, of course, it's 'So I Married An Axe Murderer'. Woohoo!! Thank you for passing that knowledge on to the person that gave it to me, Miss You-Know-Who!!

Ya know what? I wish I'dve seen these before Christmas!
I did get a couple really awesome sweatshirts for Christmas, though...one has the cute little bunny on it, that says "You'd be cooler if you were me." and the other has Eeyore laying on the ground, saying "Wake me up when it's over..."...and, of course, I wore that on New Year's Eve...not that we went anywhere, mind you...
Talked to Joe again today...he was talking about this 'friend' of his, that he likes, and she likes him...only problem is...she's married, and is still living with her husband! Ouch! I thought he knew better! But he says they're in love, and even if it's when he's 100, he knows they'll be together someday. Hmmm...well, I hope he gets that......but, anyway, this was really funny...he said something about her husband is from Syria. I started laughing, and said, "Do you think that means he's not circumcised?" I just got a "hmmph! Libby, that really wasn't one the forefront of my mind!" Then, I couldn't let it go, I'm so glad he's an understanding friend. I said "You mean the foreskin of your mind? Ba-da-bing!"...(from Joe..."Sigh")

Yup...I was looking all over for Truman this morning, and I finally found him!! Doofus cat! He decided yesterday that this is his favorite place to be, cuz he can see everything and I hafta get on the floor to see him!
Tiffany always puts the tree together now, and puts all the lights on it, and everything...if even one light isn't in the right place, or one branch isn't bent the right way, she's on it immediately! She and Kevin are both so precise and perfect when they do this...I wouldn't have the patience to be that exact about it, but I'm happy they do! Cuz pretty much, my hands are so clumsy, and shaky, I can't do it anymore. Boo! The southwestern border at the top of the wall...well, the blue parts of that are my pride and joy, because Kevin and I did that in 1993, before I knew I had ms, or had any symptoms, and my hands weren't shaky, and I was standing on top of a freakin' ladder with absolutely NO balance problem, and, obviously my hands were steady! Grrrrr....oh well...I know God never gives you more than you can handle...(but he has to know I'm weaker than this!).
Zak came over while we were putting up the tree, and we were telling him about funny stuff that's happened since we've lived here...such as...
The girl across the street that lived there for the first 5 or so years we were here, that was at one of Tiff's b'day parties, that we had mini pumpkins hidden in the yard with numbers I wrote on 'em,and when the kids found them, they'd run up on the deck, and give them to me, and I'd give the the prize with that # on it. So that girl, she was kinda "big" (around), and she found the first pumpkin, and came running up the steps with it...Kev had the camcorder & was taping the whole thing, and you saw her start up the steps. All of a sudden, she tripped on the top step, and in the tape, you see her running, yelling "yay!", and hear footsteps on the steps "thump, thump, thump" and all of a sudden you heard "ooof" and she disappeared! She was ok, but it was funny as hell! (to us, anyway!). That was like, when she was 6 or 7.
A few years later she had an ongoing feud with a girl on the next street, and they got in a fight across the street, and Tif pushed her over backwards off a brick sidewalk wall, and the 'pummeling' ensued! By both, mind you! This is a good middle-class neighborhood. Two cute little blonds, beating each other up in someone else's front yard! The next day, a "Crime Watch Area" sign was put up by the curb...in front of our house! And, 15 years later, it's still there!!
One of the coolest things was when 'Uncle Ken' used to come over in the evenings in the summer & play "Go To Court" (I have no idea how that's played, but it kinda sounds like tag/hide-&-seek type of thing) with all the kids around here, probly about 10, at that time. I actually miss hearing all the yelling & screaming outside in the evenings when there used to be little kids in this neighborhood. I never thought I'd say THAT!!
And when it was Halloween...we made a haunted porch, with all kinds of scary stuff, fake spiderwebs & all...and Kev's brother & sister & their girlfriend & boyfriend used to help, so when kids got up on the porch, there was a 'maze' of cut up trash bags to separate some parts...and there was a different monster-type behind every one! One year we had a microphone on a stand and Jill added some screams in there every so often! Now THAT was funny, cuz the next day at work, customers at the store I worked at were asking me "Did you HEAR that last night?" And those people lived blocks away!
And the first or second year we did it, it was so scary that Tif wouldn't walk through it to go pee, I had to take her around the house & in the back door, and then back out the back door! Of course, she was only 7 or 8...but it was all her relatives, and she had been watching us getting ready!
Or the year that I told her she could hold a bowl of cooked spaghetti behind a stand and tell kids it was where the candy was...she did that, and everybody stuck their hand in and said 'eeewww'...except one little boy, who took a handful and put it in his bag, and said "Thank you!".
Okay...maybe I'll continue this in the next few days...remember, everybody, tomorrow is
Tue, Dec 5
Tiffany Tuesday & Fred Rode, Tri-Rivers
That's cool, it's now on the website!

I seriously DO want the bunny sweatshirt that says "Cute but Psycho"!
This is where you can find some of the funniest Christmas gifts EVER!
Well, today on WDCM was "Tiffany Tuesday", as they've started calling it on the morning show! And here's the radio station's website. I'm really sorry, but I HAVE to brag about her! She called me after the show, while she & the 2 guys from the morning show were out for breakfast, and one of them yelled "You've got a great daughter!" The real reason she called me was to make sure I TiVo'd Dr Phil, cuz she wouldn't make it home for it! It's really cool that she does this every Tuesday from 6 to 9 am. She introduced the guys to the word "cankles", which they said they'd never heard of! Huh?? What rock have they been living under? But then one of them put "cankles" in Google, and I guess that gave pictures that explained it! And she's the official "celebrity flash & dash" girl!
Damn, I'm so proud of her! She has a sense of humor that's so much like mine it's unreal! The guys were promoting some senior citizen thingy, and one said it would include advice on falls...you hear Tif laughing in the background, and one of the guys said "WHAT is so funny?? That's serious!" Tif says "Watch where you're walking?" I guess listeners are calling in all morning about how good she is! And, right after the 'cankles' discussion, they played the Rod Stewart song "Hot Legs"....Bwwaaahhhhaa!
Okay..."Mommie's Brag Time" is over...Now I hafta get off here and eat a chocolate chip cookie dough Pop-Tart!
